Gene Bertoncini & Dale Bruning

From New York City comes the dulcet sounds of the nylon string guitar in the masterful hands of Gene Bertoncini. Add to this, from Pennsylvania to New York to Colorado, the dulcet sounds of jazz guitarist Dale Bruning. A duet setting to feature these two giants in jazz was inevitable, and enviable, if you were a guitar player yourself. What joy they created! See for yourself with the delightful video  below.

The Timeless Music of Sonny Rollins

From New York City to around the world, saxophonist Sonny Rollins has thrilled his audiences for decades with his own compositions, as well as his interpretations of other distinguished composers.

In this concert, leader Dale Bruning’s arrangements pay tribute to Mr. Rollins, as do the musicians on the bandstand with him: Mark Patterson, tb; Ron Miles, cornet; John Gunther, tenor sax; Mark Simon, bass, and Paul Romaine, drums. Writer Jude Hibler provides the narration.
